Scrapbooks
Since my early childhood I have been designing and making my own greetings cards, but in recent years I have refined her creations into my individual style which uses a combination of my own unique and quirky designs and an innovative use of materials.
In the mid 1990s I inherited thousands of heritage photographs when both her grandmothers died within six weeks of each other. Following this my interest in paper crafts broadened to include scrapbooking, at a time when it was a newly emerging craft in the UK. I enjoy the fact that scrapbooking combines my love of paper crafts with my determination to preserve my family's history, and I have over the past few years improved my photography skills so that I can document my own life and those of my parents, brother, and friends.
My scrapbook layouts demonstrate my love of colour, pattern and graphic design; and I like to create my own custom embellishments to provide the perfect finishing touches to my pages.
My paper crafting projects have been featured in a number of UK magazines including Simply Cards & Papercraft, Craft Essentials, and Scrapbooking, Memories & More. I also enjoy writing regular articles for a family history publication. Currently I am concentrating on getting her craftwork published worldwide, as well as continuing to work with magazines in the UK.
