Strawberry Roombox

This was a roombox made in just one day for a friend of the family who had admired my chocolaterie roombox.

Strawberry Slices

Mix translucent and a little red and make into a log

Wrap a layer of red around this.

Roll out into a long cane

Pinch the top of the cane slightly to give it a roughly triangular shape

Bake

Slice using a sharp craft knife (wear eye protection as the small pieces can fly off in any direction)

Strawberry tarts

Roll out pastry coloured clay thinly

Cut flower shaped using medium flower cutter

Layer 2 flowers

Use a large ball tool to make a depression in centre

Bake

Mix tacky glue and a little red acrylic paint

Fill the pastry case with this mixture

Place a strawberry or strawberry slice on top

Strawberry Cheesecakes

Roll out pastry colour (with semolina mixed in). Make a thicker layer of a creamy colour and place on top. Use circle cutter to make circles, cutting through both layers.

When pushing out circles from the cutter, it will make a small indentation on the top. After baking glue a strawberry on top of this.

To make a bite out of a cake, use a small flower cutter. Make a small spoon from silver clay.

Roll out pastry colour

Cut 3 circles with circular cutter

Use a needle tool to indent around the edges.

Bake

Paint the top of one of the pastry circles with translucent liquid sculpey (TLS)

Add balls of ivory colour, and smaller balls of red. Around edges put pre-baked strawberries or strawberry slices

Paint the bottom of another pastry circle and squidge down onto this.

Repeat for the next layer

On the top, again paint with TLS and then make a pyramid of ivory coloured balls. Paint these with TLS and add strawberries or strawberry slices all over
