Japanese Torii gate

 

I made this following my holiday in Japan. The torii gate is made from balsa wood painted red, with a painted polymer clay plaque. The shimenawa cord is made from fine string and folded paper. The background photograph of sake barrels was taken at the Meiji Shrine, Tokyo.
